CJ Foster Signs with Arkansas State

Former Berkmar Patriot CJ Foster has signed to play at Arkansas State University after spending h is Freshman season at Roane State Junior College (TN) where he played for Coach Randy Nesbit and averaged 13.7 points along with 2.6 rebounds and 2.4 per game.  Foster will have 3 years of eligibility to play at Arkansas State.

During his career at Berkmar, Foster was a 2013 Naismith Award nominee and Score 44 Player as one of Georgia’s top 22 seniors for boys and girls at Berkmar High School in Lilburn.  He averaged 12.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists an outing as a senior for the 2012-13 season.  Foster played an integral role in leading the Patriots to back-to-back Region 8-6A Championship titles and consecutive Elite Eight appearances.  He earned both Gwinnett County Tip-Off Club and all-county first-team recognition.  Foster, who was the chosen as the 2013 Southeast Basketball Academy (SEBA) Hoopfest’s Most Valuable Player, was tabbed the 5-Star Camp’s Most Valuable Player and was the recipient of the Camp’s Best Playmaker Award.
