Berkmar Patriots Announce 2013-2014 Schedule

The Berkmar Patriots always set out to have one of the toughest schedules in the competitive state of Georgia Basketball and the 2013-2014 schedule is no different.  After helping lead his team to 4 consecutive state tournament appearances, including a trip to the Elite 8 the last two season, Coach Phillips has once again amped up the schedule to prepare the Patriots for a post-season run.

The 2013-2014 season will start off with a bang when the Patriots host their scrimmage on November 12 against GAC, who has won 3 of the last 4 state championships in AA Boys Basketball including the state championship last season and include one of the top players in the state of Georgia regardless of class in Forward Isaiah Wilkins.  Following the scrimmage the Patriots will head to Jacksonville, Florida to play in the City of Rivers Shootout.  The Pats will play two games against some of the top competition in the state of Florida.

When the Patriots return home they will face a grueling non-region schedule with games against top opponents including Tift County (On The Radar Hoopfest), Collins Hill (Nike Explosion), McEachern (SEBA Hoopfest), and Meadowcreek High School.  In addition, the Patriots are hosting the BMASP/Nike Christmas Tournament which will include  St. Francis, Eagles Landing, South Gwinnett, Lithonia, Morgan County, Laney , S.W.A.C., Shiloh, Stephenson, and Lanier (Alabama), and Pebblebrook.

With an already tough region, the Patriots hope a tough non-region schedule will prepare them for another trip through the state tournament.
